Say Goodby . . . : CBS News is not renewing the contract of film director Peter Bogdanovich, whose Thursday video reviews and affectionate film memories have been one of the few bright spots on “CBS This Morning.” Bogdanovich, nominated for an Oscar for his masterpiece, “The Last Picture Show,” will make his last appearance on the broadcast today. He has been with CBS for two years. A spokesman for the program said that Bogdanovich’s departure is the first of several moves by new executive producer Erik Sorenson, who is expected to reveal his plans next week--including some changes in the morning program’s coverage of the entertainment world.
