University of Maryland athletic officials have acknowledged to the NCAA that a coach’s scheme to scalp 20 Atlantic Coast Conference basketball tournament tickets for players in 1988 was not an isolated incident, according to former Maryland assistant coach Jeff Adkins.

Adkins said that the practice had been ongoing since he was a freshman player in 1981. Current and former Maryland officials met most of Friday with members of the NCAA Infractions Committee in San Diego to discuss 18 alleged rules violations in the three-year tenure of former Coach Bob Wade.
