Sunkist Growers Inc. Says Sales Rose 5% in 1989

Sunkist Growers Inc., the Sherman Oaks-based citrus farmers’ cooperative, said its sales for 1989 increased 5% to $931 million from $887 million in 1988. The cooperative said that the amount of revenue it returned to member farmers--after deducting packing and marketing costs--increased 6% to $679 million from $641 million a year earlier.
