Wolf Withdraws Name for OTS Post: Frederick D. Wolf, formerly the No. 2 official at the General Accounting Office, said he informed the Treasury Department last week that he is no longer interested in being appointed director of the department’s Office of Thrift Supervision. Wolf, a partner with Price Waterhouse & Co., had been the Bush Administration’s leading candidate for the job.
