SIDELINES : Davis Back on Court Saturday
Walter Davis, the Denver Nuggets’ second-leading scorer, expects to return to action Saturday night against Dallas.
Davis, who injured his left knee earlier this month, practiced vigorously during a shoot-around in Phoenix on Tuesday.
“It feels good,” Davis said. “I’m going to play Saturday--at least I hope so.”
Davis is required to miss five games after being put on the injured list. He would be eligible to return against Dallas.
Davis is Denver’s top perimeter shooter, averaging 18.3 points per game. The Nuggets are 18-8 when Davis makes at least 50% of his field-goal attempts.
