San Diego
Fire investigators are looking for two boys who they suspect started a fire that destroyed one house and damaged two others Thursday in Paradise Hills.
A home video taken by one of the residents shows two boys, about 9 or 10 years old, leaving the scene of the fire, said John Buono, a fire investigator for the Metro Arson Strike Team
The video shows the boys, both wearing dark shorts and shirts and carrying butterfly nets, standing only a few feet away from the fire in its first stages, Buono said.
The 25-acre brush fire, which spread from a canyon, was in the 5700 block of Rancho Hills Drive.
Anyone with information about the two boys is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 235-TIPS.
