In its third major executive reshuffling in the past two months, CBS named Peter A. Lund to the new post of executive vice president of the CBS Broadcast Group.

Lund, 49, will also succeed Thomas F. Leahy as president of CBS’ marketing division.

Leahy will become a senior vice president of the Broadcast Group until his retirement in 18 months at age 55.

Lund, who joined CBS in 1977, is returning after three years as president of Multimedia Entertainment, which syndicates such shows as “Donahue” and “Sally Jessy Raphael.”

In his earlier stint at CBS, Lund was general manager of network-owned stations in Chicago and New York, president of CBS Sports and president of CBS’ television stations division.

The latest round of musical chairs at CBS began in August, when Eric Ober, president of the television stations division, became president of CBS News after David Burke’s forced resignation from that job.

A week later, Ober’s old job was filled by Johnathan Rodgers, formerly vice president and general manager of WBBM-TV, the network’s Chicago station.
