GARDEN GROVE : Parenting Program Will Begin Tonight
The Garden Grove Unified District is offering a series of six free parenting workshops on Tuesdays starting tonight. The theme of the workshops is “How to Talk so Kids Will Listen,” and the programs are for parents of any age. The workshops will be moderated by Lon Tuin, a counselor at Los Amigos High School; district psychologist Alyce Erdstiek and Jackie Chan, a counselor at the Straight Talk youth and family guidance center in Cypress.
Topics include “Helping Children Deal With Their Feelings,” “Alternatives to Punishment” and “Praise and Self-Esteem.” Forinformation or registration, call (714) 663-6597.
