LOCAL : Man Fires 100 Rounds in Home
A man armed with a shotgun and boxes of ammunition fired about 100 rounds through the walls of his Hollywood home this morning, terrifying neighbors and triggering a four-hour standoff, police said.
Roy Koutsky, 25, surrendered to police about 5:30 a.m. as police warned him over a loudspeaker that a SWAT team was about to storm the bullet-riddled house in the 1300 block of N. Gordon Avenue, Sgt. Pat Findley said.
No one was injured by the shots fired and no other structures were hit, although many of the shots penetrated the walls of Koutsky’s residence.
A search of the house produced a 12-gauge shotgun, a replica of an Uzi rifle, a pair of handcuffs, a sword and boxes of ammunition, Findley said.
