A Solana Beach woman was arrested Tuesday in connection with the death of her husband, authorities said.
Peter Christopher Johnson, 57, was found shortly before midnight Monday at the couple’s condominium with multiple gunshot wounds, sheriff’s officials said. He was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital, where he died two hours later, coroner’s investigator Robert Engel said.
Sheriff’s deputies, responding to a call that had been cut off, arrived at the couple’s home in the 800 block of Sea Turf Circle and found Patricia Johnson on a second-floor balcony with a gun in her hand, said Sgt. Steve Wood. Deputies convinced her to drop the weapon and entered the house, where they found her husband, Wood said. There were no signs of a struggle and nothing to suggest the couple had argued, he added.
Johnson, 47, was booked into Vista Jail without bail, Wood said.
