Fountain Valley’s Rob Fisher Signs With SCC
Rob Fisher of Fountain Valley High School has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Southern California College, Vanguard Coach Charlie Phillips said Tuesday.
Fisher, a pitcher, was 5-1 for Fountain Valley last season. He helped the Barons reach the semifinals of the Southern Section 5-A playoffs.
The Vanguards also signed third baseman Albert Contrera, who had played at University in 1987. Contrera has not previously played college baseball.
Also joining SCC was second baseman Ryan Seidel (Westlake High School), pitcher Mike Weinstein (The Master’s College) and shortstop/second baseman Steve Dolias (Grossmont College).
