Flawlessly Wins First Start in California
Harbor View Farm’s Flawlessly, making her first start in California, pulled away from five opponents in mid-stretch and went on to win the $61,200 Street Dancer Stakes on the grass Friday night at Hollywood Park.
The 3-year-old daughter of Affirmed came from third place to go three wide around the final turn and gain the lead. From there, it was a dash to the wire, which Flawlessly won by 1 3/4 lengths. Time for the 1 1/16 miles was 1:42 2/5.
Joli’s Princess came from last in the field of six 3-year old fillies to finish second, a head in front of Sprucory. Secret Haze was fourth, with First Advance fifth and Officer Lea sixth.
The victory was worth $34,200 and improved Flawlessly’s earnings to $222,486. She has four wins and a third in nine races, the first eight on the East Coast.
