BLUESVILLE: Our Duet of the Week is “I Cover the Waterfront,” a duet between John Lee Hooker and Van Morrison, which is one of the highlights of Hooker’s new album, “Mr. Lucky.” Due out Sept. 10, the album also features guest performances by Keith Richards, Johnny Winter, Robert Cray, Albert Collins, Carlos Santana and Booker T. Jones . . . Never one to let Hooker steal his thunder, blues guitarslinger Buddy Guy is back with a star-studded album of his own, called “Damn Right I’ve Got the Blues.” Out this week, it features such longtime Guy fans as Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Mark Knopfler. Guy will be at Roxy Sept. 4. . . . Speaking of Clapton, he also appears on “Mr. Bluesman,” a new song from Richie Sambora’s upcoming solo album, “Stranger in This Town.” Due out next week from Mercury Records, the Bon Jovi guitarist’s debut release also features such new material as “Church of Desire,” “Ballad of Youth” and “River of Love.”
