Figure in Killer Fire Is Fined and Sentenced

NEW YORK —
The owner of the building where 87 people died in a social club fire was sentenced Friday to pay $150,000 and perform 50 hours of community service.
Alex DiLorenzo agreed to the sentence by Bronx Criminal Court Judge Alexander Hunter after pleading guilty to two misdemeanor building-code violations. Two other misdemeanor charges were dropped.
