Fiesta Island Waste
I frequent Fiesta Island to walk my dog, who has caught hepatitis due to exposed toxic waste dumped there.
Two years ago a county heavy equipment worker advised me not to let my dog near the smelly waste by the center of the island because it was raw sewage that could carry hepatitis and other diseases. I called county officials who said that sewage overflow was a problem. They posted “Keep out of water signs,” removed them, then posted them again the next week.
I want to warn those who frequent this area to beware for your pets and children.
