Monorail Plan Is Criticized
Supervisor Mike Antonovich is again attempting to sabotage rapid transit development. Along with the other misguided advocates of a monorail on the Ventura Freeway, he would ask that the northbound Metro Red Line passenger get off at the Universal City station, walk to the monorail platform and wait for the next train.
Why is this wise, honest supervisor interested in yet another vehicle mode? Why does he want to inconvenience the rider as much as possible? Why don’t we just continue the Red Line past Universal to Warner Center?
Too simple?
