Beverly Hills : Choir Concert to Aid Needy
The Faithful Central Baptist Church Choir will perform in a benefit concert in Beverly Hills next month to aid needy residents of South-Central Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
The 200-person choir will present a program of gospel music on the lawn of Beverly Hills High School from 3 to 5 p.m. on Oct. 25, Mayor Robert Tanenbaum announced.
Tanenbaum said the event is intended to raise $150,000 to benefit riot-torn areas and as a “meaningful cultural and personal exchange between neighbors.”
Tickets are $50 for adults and $10 for children high school age or younger. For ticker information or to volunteer to help with the event, call the mayor’s office, (310) 285-1013.
