CLASS ACT: Placentia’s Valencia High School is doing a little academic bragging. Among the 57 public high schools in the county, it has the highest passing rate for new advanced placement tests at 88.6%--more than 20 points above the state average (B3). Says Vice Principal Karen Wilkins: “We have a great staff and strong parent support. We’ve just got a great school.”. . . Advance placement gives students automatic credits toward some college courses.
