Bids Sought for Road Repaving
City officials have moved a step closer to resurfacing five streets in the College Park East district.
The City Council last week authorized officials to request bids for the project, which should cost about $120,000.
The streets are:
* Guava Avenue between Ironwood and Fir avenues, and Pansy Street.
* Fir Avenue between Ironwood Avenue and Goldenrod Street.
* Elder Avenue between Ironwood Avenue and Fuchsia Street.
* Rose Street between Hazelnut and Lampson avenues.
* Dogwood Avenue between Daisy Street and Ironwood Avenue.
The project, which should get underway next year, is part of a long-term resurfacing program that began in the area several years ago.
