Genaro Hernandez of Los Angeles retained his WBA junior-lightweight title and kept his unbeaten record intact Friday, stopping Yuji Watanabe of Japan in the sixth round at Tokyo. Referee Enzo Montero stopped the bout 59 seconds into the sixth round with Hernandez attacking Watanabe with a barrage of lefts and rights. It was Hernandez’s third defense of his title, and his 27th victory.
