A judge in Lafayette, La., agreed to postpone until Jan. 27 the perjury trial of the Rev. T.J. Jemison, accused of falsely denying that he made a bribe offer to the family of boxer Mike Tyson’s rape victim. The request was made by Jemison’s attorneys, who said a back problem would prevent defense counsel Ossie Brown from making the scheduled Nov. 30 trial date.
