Buck Williams of the Portland Trail Blazers joined some select company Sunday night during a 130-114 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Williams, in his 12th season, entered the game needing eight rebounds to become the 20th player in NBA history to surpass 10,000 rebounds and 10,000 points. Williams, in his 12th season, grabbed his 10,000th rebound with 3:47 left in the game.

Only three other active players--Moses Malone, Robert Parish and Bill Laimbeer--have reached the plateau.

“That was the toughest eight rebounds I ever got in my life,” Williams said. “I thought I had about 20 at the end of the third quarter.”

Rod Strickland scored 25 points for the Trail Blazers, who overcame the first-half ejection of Clyde Drexler and ended the Warriors’ five-game winning streak.

Strickland, who scored 23 points against Seattle on Friday night, also had nine assists. Terry Porter added 20 points and nine assists, Mario Elie had 19, Cliff Robinson 18 and Williams a season-high 17 for the Trail Blazers.

“He deserves everything he gets,” Portland Coach Rick Adelman said of Williams. “He’s one of those guys who never gets any attention. People don’t realize how good he’s been over the years. He’s going to get recognition now and people will realize what a great career he’s had.”

Chris Mullin scored 25 points and Tim Hardaway 16 for the Warriors.

Drexler had 16 points when he was ejected with 2:52 left in the second quarter after a nose-to-nose confrontation with Hardaway at center court.

New Jersey 104, Sacramento 98--Chucky Brown gave the Nets the lead for good with a breakaway dunk with 1:01 left and later grabbed a crucial rebound at East Rutherford, N.J., as the Nets handed the Kings their eighth consecutive defeat.
