Restaurant Honor: Gustaf Anders, the Swedish cuisine restaurant at South Coast Plaza Village in Costa Mesa, is the only Orange County eatery cited by Conde Nast Traveler magazine in its latest “distinguished restaurant awards.”

Gustaf Anders, one of “50 American restaurants worth the journey” listed in the January edition, “reflects the Swedish design sense of owner William Magnuson and chef Ulf Anders Strandberg,” the magazine says, adding that the food is good, too.

Gustaf Anders is one of the more expensive among the eight California restaurants on the list. The average price of a three-course dinner for one is $40, excluding tax, drinks and tip, according to the magazine.
