Tip Leads to Car Loaded With Pot

Share

An anonymous telephone tip Monday led to the seizure of more than 200 pounds of marijuana from a car in a supermarket parking lot and the arrest of one man, police said.

The incident began at about 8 a.m. when the caller told police a large amount of marijuana was hidden in a silver Nissan Pulsar parked outside Ralphs supermarket on Calle de Industrias, Sgt. James R. Thomas said.

Narcotics detectives first found the car and, with the help of a Border Patrol-trained dog, then found the marijuana in the trunk, Thomas said.
