BURBANK : Street Improvement Work to Shut Lanes

Share

Some traffic lanes on Riverside Drive and Alameda Avenue were closed Monday for as long as four months during a $750,000 street improvement project in Burbank’s Media District, city officials said.

The work by the Burbank Public Works Department contractor, Security Paving Co., will leave a minimum of one traffic lane open.

The project will run from Riverside Drive at Clybourn Avenue to Alameda Avenue, and continue on Alameda to Olive Avenue, replacing or resurfacing roadways as well as improving traffic signals and pavement markings.

The intersection of Riverside Drive and Alameda Avenue will be handled in two phases. During the first four to six weeks, traffic will detour from Riverside Drive to Alameda Avenue along Pass Avenue. In the second four-to-six week phase, traffic from Alameda Avenue will be detoured through Pass Avenue to Riverside.

Alley access will remain open for local businesses.
