Tournament Pairings Set in Softball, Baseball

The pairings and game times were announced Monday for the State softball tournament at Riverside College, and the regional baseball playoffs at Rancho Santiago and Los Angeles Harbor colleges.

The double-elimination softball tournament starts at 1 p.m. Friday with Cypress (47-18) playing Napa Valley (41-11) and Orange Coast (26-13) playing Sacramento City (41-8). At 3 p.m.: San Joaquin Delta (35-5) plays Long Beach (33-9) and tournament-favorite Palomar (46-4) plays West Valley (31-12).

The winners play at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday. The losers’ bracket play starts at 10 a.m. Saturday. The winners’ bracket final is at 8 p.m. Saturday and the title game is at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Rancho Santiago (35-8) plays Cypress (29-16) at 3 p.m. Friday in the first round of the double-elimination baseball regional at Rancho Santiago. Rancho Santiago won all four conference meetings this season.

Chaffey (32-9) takes on Riverside (30-14) at 11 a.m. the same day.

The winners play at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rancho Santiago and the losers meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fullerton College. The championship game is at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Orange Coast (26-19) travels to Los Angeles Harbor for a 3 p.m. game against San Diego Mesa (29-14). Los Angeles Harbor (30-11) plays Long Beach (21-19) at 3 p.m.

The winners play at 11 a.m. Saturday at Los Angeles Harbor and the losers meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at Long Beach. The championship game is at 11 a.m. Sunday.
