HUNTINGTON BEACH : Classic Carnival to Show Cars, Trucks
Classic cars, trucks and motorcycles will be featured at Saturday’s Classic Carnival and Rideshare Fair at McDonnell Douglas.
The event, co-sponsored by the Huntington Beach Police Department, is open to the public and will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at McDonnell Douglas, 5301 Bolsa Ave.
“We wanted to open the car show to the public to allow family and friends to enjoy the event and to encourage ride-sharing in a fun and positive manner,” said Linda Uman, manager of McDonnell Douglas’ Environmental Transportation Department.
The car show will feature bands playing music from the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s, as well as clowns and movie characters.
Representatives from the South Coast Air Quality Management District, the Air Resources Board and the California Department of Transportation will also be on hand to provide information on ride-sharing and environmental issues.
Donations will be accepted at the gate and will benefit Amigos de Bolsa Chica for the preservation of the Bolsa Chica wetlands.
