THOUSAND OAKS : Gang Members Crash Party; 1 Man Stabbed

Share

Intruders identifying themselves as gang members kicked in the front door of a Thousand Oaks house where a party was going on just after midnight Wednesday and stabbed a party-goer in the neck, provoking a bloody brawl, Ventura County sheriff’s deputies said.

Damien Domaloan, 20, of Thousand Oaks, was taken to Los Robles Medical Center, where he was admitted for treatment of the knife wound and listed in stable condition.

Party-goers said the attack on Domaloan by members of the Old School Family gang was unprovoked and appeared to be random.

Although party guests denied that they were gang members, police said some were affiliated with a gang.

Drew Morrow, 19, said he was on the lawn when he saw 15 to 20 people head for the house in the quiet, upscale neighborhood on Columbine Court.

“Nobody heard them say anything,” Morrow said. “Next thing I heard was a big crash and as I watched, the door, like, splintered.”

About four young men broke windows and stormed in carrying weapons such as an aluminum baseball bat and a crowbar. One slashed Domaloan across the side of the neck with a steak knife, Morrow said.

Police said that some of the party-goers began fighting the intruders, who then fled, carrying one wounded friend.

Another party-goer who identified himself only as Greg said that the party guests knew the intruders from Westlake High School.

Morrow said that Domaloan “was the first person they saw when they came in the door. . . .I think it was just by random selection.”

Police are investigating the attack. No arrests have been made.
