NORTH HOLLYWOOD : Gang Link Probed in Fatal Shooting
Two brothers were shot and one was killed while they stood in front of a North Hollywood apartment complex in an attack that may have been gang-related, Los Angeles police said Thursday.
Detective Steve Hooks said Eduardo Jasso, 18, was killed and Domingo Jasso, 20, was seriously injured in the shooting that occurred about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 11300 block of Emelita Street.
The brothers were standing in front of the building where they shared an apartment when the gunman approached on foot and shot them, Hooks said. The suspect fled on foot and has not been identified.
Though the Jasso brothers were not known to police as gang members, the assailant may have been a gang member, based on undisclosed details of the attack, Hooks said. The exact motive for the shooting, however, was not clear.
