ETA Technologies Corp. Acquires TRW Unit: The small defense engineering firm in Los Angeles bought the EPI subsidiary of TRW, which produces printed circuit boards in Colorado Springs, Colo. Terms of the deal were not undisclosed, but it is estimated at about $7 million based on industry ratios. EPI has 140 employees, ETA has 260. The acquisition will give ETA annual revenue of about $40 million. W. Cedric Johnson, ETA's founder, said the acquisition will expand opportunities for the firm to produce electronic products for both defense and commercial markets. It marks the firm's entry into manufacturing. ETA provides engineering services to Southern California transportation and infrastructure projects.
