Pietrowski, Pope Win National Title

Unseeded Jacob Pietrowski of Huntington Beach and Derek Pope of Ojai, both 17, defeated the top-seeded team Saturday to win the U.S. Tennis Assn. national 18s boys’ clay-court doubles championship in Louisville, Ky.

Pietrowski and Pope defeated B.J. Sterns of Florida and Paul Goldstein of New York, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
