Glendale : Child-Care Center Dedicated

Share

Glendale Adventist Medical Center dedicated its new child-care center for children of hospital employees and medical staff members this week.

The new center expands the 10-year-old program run by the hospital. The center was formerly in an old house on the property. The new facility, a nurse’s building that was remodeled, has separate classrooms and a play area for infants and children 1 to 4.

The program now has 58 children and 17 teachers, compared to the 44 children and 11 teachers with the old center.

“We have a building that was designed for child care,” center director Judy Crawford said.

The building opened in March but the dedication was postponed until Tuesday so that all of the center’s facilities, including the play area, could be completed, Crawford said.
