New Image Industries Posts $1.45-Million Profit

New Image Industries Inc. in Canoga Park said that growing demand for its dental intra-oral cameras and imaging systems resulted in profits for its fiscal fourth quarter and year ended June 30, on sharp increases in revenues.

The company’s fourth-quarter profit was $1.45 million, in contrast with a year-earlier loss of $1.15 million. Its revenue rose 37%, to $8.05 million from $5.87 million.

New Image’s net income for all of fiscal 1993 totaled $5.61 million, while its revenue jumped 87% to $30.6 million. In the previous fiscal year it posted a loss of $1.01 million on $16.4 million in revenue.

The company’s results through the fiscal third quarter ended March 29 included its Styles on Video subsidiary, which was then spun off in a rights offering to New Image shareholders.
