‘California Raisins’ Animator Forms Venture: Will Vinton Studios, known for stop-action animation used in the popular “California Raisins” commercials, is forming Will Vinton Entertainment to develop film, television, video and theme park projects. Terry Thoren, former head of Expanded Entertainment, has been named president of the venture in Vinton’s new Los Angeles office. The company plans to develop projects with New Entertainment Guild, which develops high-tech simulators and virtual reality attractions in entertainment and education.
