Off the Mark

My compliments on your excellent article “Autumn in the Park” (Oct. 10).

However, your put-down of the St. Moritz on the Park is off the mark. I have stayed there on and off for the past year and have found it to be an excellent value, particularly during the week. True, its elevators are slow, but the hotel is being renovated and its renovated rooms are comfortable. The location is superb.

Obviously there is a trade-off when you shop for price, but the St. Moritz on the Park is a good deal if you are looking for a reasonable room in a pricey location.
