Ex-Housing Aide Draws Sentence

WASHINGTON —
Deborah Gore Dean, a former top aide at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, was sentenced to 21 months in prison and fined $5,000 Friday for her role in the Ronald Reagan-era HUD scandal.
U.S. District Judge Thomas Hogan said that Dean must serve the sentence without any possibility of parole and that she must thereafter be under two years of supervised probation.
