Key newcomers: Karen Anderson, So., 400; Kerrie Wright, Jr., 1600, 3200.
Outlook: As deep a team as there is anywhere (102 girls showed up the first day of practice a year ago), the Chargers show no signs of letting loose their hold on the Sunset League. Philman and O’Bric, the leaders of the girls’ basketball team, cover the field events and hurdles while Letterman and Marshall head the sprint corps. Homberger was fifth in the State 3200 meters last year. The State Division II champion cross-country team will only help on the track.
