COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Concordia Downs The Master’s in Game Shortened by Rain
Concordia scored three runs in the second inning and four in the fourth to beat The Master’s, 7-4, in a rain-shortened, five-inning game.
The Eagles also scored three runs in the sixth, but that inning was washed out.
Doug Senne had two hits, with a double and two runs batted in to lead Concordia (16-25-1). Jason Freeman, in his first start for The Master’s, hit a home run.
In nonconference men’s tennis:
Pepperdine 6, UC Irvine 1--Ari Nathan won the only set for UC Irvine in the Anteaters’ 7-5, 6-4 loss to the seventh-ranked Waves (17-5). UC Irvine is (13-13).
