HUNTINGTON BEACH : City Registering Kids for Day Camp

The city’s Community Services Department is now registering campers for the “Funtime Day Camps” at Edison and Murdycommunity centers.

The first weeklong camp will begin June 27. The camps are designed for children age 6 to 12 and offer a range of activities, including arts and crafts, bowling, baseball and swimming. Seven, one-week sessions will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The cost is $95 for one week.

Camp highlights will also include outdoor games, miniature golf, water slides and bumper boats. Youngsters will also take a boat cruise, a trip to the beach and visit a major amusement park. Daily fruit snacks and drinks are included in the fee.

Extended day care will also be offered at Murdy Community Center for an additional $25 a week. Hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Transportation for day campers will be available from Edison Community Center for an additional $6.
