Shirley T. Hosoi has been named senior vice president of corporate communications of First Interstate Bancorp. Hosoi’s responsibilities include internal and external communications and community affairs for both the corporation and its First Interstate Bank of California subsidiary. Hosoi most recently served as senior vice president and executive assistant to the president of First Interstate Bancorp. From 1986 to 1992, Hosoi was president and chief executive of First Interstate Franchise Services Inc., a subsidiary of the Los Angeles-based firm that franchised the First Interstate name and products.
