Renet Financial Corp.: The company has tentatively agreed to be acquired by Market Data Corp. of Houston in a stock transaction, the Texas firm announced Thursday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Under the transaction, expected to close in November, Market Data would acquire 100% of Renet’s outstanding stock in exchange for majority ownership of Market Data.

Publicly traded Market Data provides financial information to on-line services such as Prodigy and to other businesses. It has annual sales of about $1 million. Renet, a privately held mortgage and consumer lender based in Anaheim, had 1993 loan volume of more than $500 million, Market Data said.
