LA PALMA : City to Celebrate Itself With Parade, Carnival
The city’s biggest civic celebration--La Palma Days--continues this weekend.
The La Palma Days Parade starts at 10:15 a.m. today at the intersection of Houston and Walker streets and proceeds south on Walker Street to the intersection of La Palma Street. The parade is expected to last about two hours, and the route passes in front of City Hall. Musician Johnny Mann, leader of the Johnny Mann Singers, is the parade grand marshal.
The carnival at Central Park will be from noon to 10 p.m. today, and from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.
