Australian heavyweight Justin Fortune headlines tonight’s boxing card at the Irvine Marriott.

Fortune (9-2-1 with five knockouts) will fight Craig Brinson (5-2) of Duarte in the eight-round main event.

Fortune, who trains at Hollywood’s Outlaw Gym by Freddie Roach, lost his U.S. debut last year to highly ranked Buster Mathis Jr. in Las Vegas.

The most intriguing boxer on the undercard should be Scottish lightweight Bradley Welch (5-0 with two knockouts), who will be making his U.S. debut.

Welch will fight Pasadena’s Jesus (Scoobie) Walker (0-2) in a four-round bout.

Marriott crowd favorite Johnny Vasquez of Huntington Beach will fight San Diego’s Ricardo Contreras in a six-round bantamweight bout and super flyweight Isidro Garcia of Los Angeles will face Saul Rios of San Diego in another six-rounder.

In two four-round bouts, middleweight Don Goodwin of Northridge will fight Franciso Magallon of San Diego and featherweight Rolando Urrea of Los Angeles will face Ricardo Fuentes of Azusa.

Fights start at 7:30 p.m.
