From Associated Press

Kentucky junior Jenny Hansen became the most successful women’s gymnast in NCAA history Saturday night by adding three individual titles to the NCAA all-around title she won Thursday. Her career total is a record eight.

Hansen has also won three consecutive NCAA all-around titles, the only gymnast ever to accomplish the feat.

UCLA’s Stellah Umeh and Georgia’s Leslie Angeles tied Hansen for first place in the floor exercise. In Umeh’s case, it was the first national championship for a Bruin gymnast since Kim Hamilton won the floor title in 1989.

Umeh also tied for second place on the balance beam with a score of 9.9.

Five UCLA gymnasts in all earned All-American honors.
