BASEBALL DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE MAJORS : Bruised Nerve Sidelines Justice
Atlanta Brave right fielder David Justice is expected to miss three to five games because of a bruised nerve in his right shoulder. Justice, hitting .316 with two homers and eight RBIs, left Saturday night’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies after diving for Greg Jefferies’ double in the ninth inning. The Braves will use Dwight Smith and Mike Kelly in Justice’s absence. . . . Yankee outfielder Paul O’Neill will have an MRI on his sprained right hand today and is day to day.
