SOUTH-CENTRAL : School Asks for Help in Finding Stolen Computers
A small Christian school in South-Central Los Angeles is asking the community to provide them with any information that will lead to the arrest of vandals who broke in and stole the school’s computers.
Triumphant Word Academy, a school with 20 students in kindergarten through 12th grades, was broken into early Monday by thieves who stole two computers, a printer, a copier, a television and a videocassette player totaling $4,500. Principal Yolanda Smith said several rooms in the school, on the grounds of the Los Angeles Christian Center on South Western Avenue, were trashed.
Smith said students held fund-raisers and collected supermarkets receipts to buy the computers.
