Corkum, Krygier Sign Multiyear Contracts With Ducks

Center Bob Corkum and left wing Todd Krygier have signed multiyear contacts with the Mighty Ducks, General Manager Jack Ferreira announced Monday.

Terms were not disclosed.

Corkum, 27, has played two seasons for the Ducks. He is the team’s all-time leading scorer with 70 points, 33 goals and 37 assists, in 120 games. Corkum was acquired from the Buffalo Sabres in the 1993 NHL expansion draft.

Krygier, 29, came to the Mighty Ducks in February in a trade with the Washington Capitals for a fourth-round draft pick in 1996.

Krygier scored 22 points, to rank fourth on the team, in 35 games. He was originally drafted by the Hartford Whalers.

Lee Erickson, Pacific Christian College athletic director and men’s basketball coach for nine years, has resigned to become associate athletic director and men’s basketball coach at Cal Baptist, PCC announced Monday.

The school also announced that Glenn Snyder has replaced Erickson as athletic director and men’s basketball coach.

Glenn has coached at Bethel College in Kansas, Fresno Pacific and Blufton College in Ohio.

Tim Nelson has resigned as Santa Ana High baseball coach, Athletic Director Frank Alvarado said.

Nelson, who has been the Saints’ coach the last three seasons, will teach at an intermediate school in Minnesota.
