Westside : PURPLE IS FASTER
It’s now easier to take the bus from the inner city to the Westside, thanks to a new, experimental line between South-Central Los Angeles and West Hollywood.
The new service, city Connector Line 305, began last week and is set to operate for two years as a demonstration project at a cost of $1.6 million. Metropolitan Transit Authority officials say patrons of the specially marked purple buses can expect to shave 15 to 30 minutes off their normal commuting time.
