Furon Co.: The Laguna Niguel industrial components company reported second-quarter profit of $2.7 million, or 30 cents a share, unchanged from the year-earlier period. Sales for the quarter ended July 29 increased 10% to $82.3 million from $75.1 million. First-half profit rose 20% to $6.1 million, or 67 cents a share, from $5.1 million, or 57 cents a share, for the comparable period of 1994. Sales were up 14% to $170.8 million from $150.1 million.
