CAMARILLO : Fingerprinting to Boost Child Safety

Share

Children can be fingerprinted and photographed Sept. 16 to supply parents with information that authorities would need if a child was missing.

The free program, to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Camarillo Police Department station at 3701 E. Las Posas Road, is an effort to prevent kidnaping and to help authorities locate missing children.

More than 300 children are expected to participate, and the fingerprints and photographs will be given to parents to keep on file.

The Technicolor Corporation in Camarillo is contributing $1,000, and McDonald’s will provide free refreshments.
